Social get together
Fall Class party at the Kempe house
Finally we find the right date to get together for a Class social. Something we do not do often enough - particularly now that we are operating out of different clubs and do not get the chance to sit and talk with each other after the days racing.
What a great evening! After having got the business meeting out of the way (more on that in another area of the website) we had the opportunity to share each others company thanks to the generosityof our hosts,,,,,,,,,Somers and Megan. Thanks guys, it really was a fun evening.
Made even more so by the fact that no one had the job of prepping all the food and then clearing up again afterwards. Who ever thought of using the 'roach coach' to supply hamburgers, hot dogs and fries needs a medal.
Rounding out the evening was the opportunity for crew members to dunk their skippers. not many did so..........it was left to future IOD sailors to carry the ball..........or throw it in this case. Take a look at the picture gallery and you will see that the kids had a great time............as did one or two of the adults. Heather managed to dunk her husband and Dorte chivvied Bob into ascending the podium so to speak and then took him out with her first ball.............and she had four more to go!!
A great evening. Let's do it again before too long.
